Returns Policy
At Merinal, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you’re not happy with your order, our returns policy is outlined below:
Returns & Refunds Policy
“the Company” shall mean Merinal Limited, whose registered office is at Unit 1 East Bond Street, Leigh, WN7 1BP, Company Reg. 6521381, VAT No. 932 2784 19.
“the Customer” shall mean any person, firm, company, or corporation who purchases goods from the Company.
1. Statutory Rights
1.1 All goods supplied by the Company are subject to the statutory rights of the Customer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and any other applicable legislation.
1.2 Where goods are not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose, or not as described:
- The Customer shall have the right to a full refund if notification is made to the Company within 30 days of delivery.
- Where a fault develops after 30 days but within 6 months of delivery, the Customer shall be entitled to a repair or replacement. Should this not be possible, a refund will be issued.
- After 6 months, the Customer may still have remedies where it can be demonstrated that the goods were inherently defective at the time of delivery.
1.3 These rights are in addition to, and not limited by, any warranties or guarantees supplied by the manufacturer.
2. Right to Cancel
2.1 In accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the Customer has the right to cancel an online order for any reason within 14 calendar days from the day after the goods are received.
2.2 Upon notification of cancellation, the Customer shall have a further 14 calendar days in which to return the goods to the Company.
2.3 The Company shall refund all sums paid, including the cost of standard delivery, within 14 days of receipt of the returned goods. Refunds shall be made using the same method of payment as used by the Customer in the original transaction.
2.4 The right to cancel does not apply to:
- Goods made to the Customer’s specification or clearly personalised;
- Perishable goods;
- Sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed by the Customer.
3. Returns Procedure
3.1 To initiate a return, the Customer must contact the Company by email at sales@merinal.co.uk, providing the order number and reason for return.
3.2 The Company shall provide the Customer with instructions for the return, including details of the address to which the goods should be sent.
3.3 Goods must be returned in their original condition, with all packaging where reasonably possible, and at the Customer’s risk until received by the Company.
4. Costs of Return
4.1 Where the goods are being returned due to change of mind under the cancellation provisions, the Customer shall bear the cost of return shipping.
4.2 Where the goods are defective, damaged, or not in accordance with the contract, the Company shall bear the cost of return shipping or arrange collection at its own expense.
5. Refunds
5.1 The Company shall inspect all returned goods and process refunds within 5–7 business days of acceptance.
5.2 Refunds will be made only to the original method of payment.
5.3 Goods damaged while in transit to the Company shall not be eligible for refund, and the Customer is advised to obtain appropriate carriage insurance.
6. Warranties
6.1 All products sold by the Company are supplied with manufacturers’ warranties, ranging from 12 months to 10 years. These warranties are offered by the manufacturer and not the Company.
6.2 The Company will provide reasonable assistance to the Customer in connection with any claim made under a manufacturer’s warranty.
